Title:  'Characterizing the Chemistry of the Milky Way Stellar Halo'

Abstract:  How are the elements heavier than Fe made? What were the
first generations of supernovae like? To what extent can stellar
nucleosynthesis be used as a tracer of the heirarchical merger
history of the Galaxy? I investigate these questions by examining
the chemical composition of the oldest stars in the halo of the
Galaxy, including stars in each of two major components of the
stellar halo (the so-called inner and outer halos) and stars in
a metal poor stellar stream that may be the remnant of a disrupted
dSph system.
