PHY231 Spring 2011 Exam correction assignment
For each midterm exam there will be an exam correction assignment. With this assignment you can earn some extra exam points.
How does it work: The exam will be opened on LON CAPA a day after the midterm exam just like a regular homework set. Due date is the following Monday, 11pm.
Scoring: The correction assignemnt will be scored exactly like the exam. 30% of the difference between your exam score and the correction assignment score will be added to your exam score. If that difference is negative (your correction assignment score is less than the exam score) your exam score will remain unchanged - you cannot loose any points.
FAQ:
- Does it matter which problems I got right or wrong in the exam? No, the correction assignment will be scored independently, and only the total scores of the correction assignment and the exam are used to determine the additional points.
- Do I have to do all problems, or just the ones I got wrong on the exam? You have to do all problems. It does not matter which problems you got right or wrong. The more points you get on the correction assignment the better.
- If I have 100% on the exam, do I need to do the correction assignment? No, obviously you cannot gain any more points then.
