A graduate level introductory course to nuclear astrophysics for nuclear physics and astronomy students. There are no graduate level pre-requisites so the course is also suitable for advanced undergraduate students. It incorporates cooperative learning techniques and some lectures are replaced by group activities.
2013 2009 2007A hands on course in theoretical nuclear astrophysics based on cooperative learning. The focus are reaction network calculations and hydrodynamic simulations. Codes, group exercises, student results, and lecture notes are available online and can be used as teaching materials or for self-study.
2014A hands on course to learn how to do nuclear astrophysics with Brad Meyer's libnucnet reaction network code using a cooperative learning approach. Codes, group exercises, student results, and lecture notes are available online and can be used as teaching materials or for self-study.
